Olivia Culpo, 33, is making sure her newborn daughter, Colette McCaffrey, has access to a treasure trove of fashion history. The former Miss Universe tells PEOPLE she’s saved everything — from her iconic pageant gowns to her custom Dolce & Gabbana wedding dress — in a dedicated storage unit. “I have a whole storage unit for her with all of my wedding dresses, my pageant dresses — all of my really valuable keepsakes,” Culpo shares.
Pageant Legacy Preserved

Among the gowns waiting for Colette are the plunging pink and red looks Culpo wore during her Miss USA and Miss Universe reigns, including the velvety showstopper she donned when crowned Miss Universe in Las Vegas in 2012. Culpo was the first American winner in 15 years, following Brook Lee’s 1997 victory.
Wedding Dress for Keeps
Her custom high‑neck lace ballgown, designed with Dolce & Gabbana and featured in Vogue, is also preserved. Culpo explained at the time: “I wanted something that felt as serious as that commitment.” Now, that gown — and other wedding looks — will be part of Colette’s fashion inheritance.
Baby Clothes, Too
It’s not just Culpo’s wardrobe being archived. She says Colette’s baby clothes are being packed away as she grows. “It feels like every week I’m pulling out the bins to store her clothes,” Culpo notes, adding that she wants her daughter to have the sartorial memories she herself missed when her own mom purged her childhood closet.
Passing Down Passion — and Hoping for Athletics

While Culpo is excited to share her fashion legacy, she doesn’t necessarily expect Colette to follow in her high‑heeled footsteps. “I hope that she’s an athlete,” Culpo reveals, pointing to husband Christian McCaffrey’s NFL bloodline. “Christian has such an intense line of athletes in his blood that I’m hopeful she’s athletic. If she’s not… that would be my fault.” Read-Taylor Swift Spends Christmas Cheering Travis Kelce at Arrowhead
A New Chapter for Baby Colette
At just five months old, Colette has already attended her first 49ers game, cheered on her dad, and rolled over for the first time. Culpo says: “She feels so brand new, but I can’t wait to see her little personality shine through more and more.”
